Portfolio Review: Pathmaking IE21S

Overview

This course focuses on the gamut of the practical, in getting their first job, while thinking beyond it. Entering into the professional world isn’t just about a portfolio. In fact, many times today, a portfolio might not even be needed. In this course, students are encouraged to design their individual paths toward their careers. Tools to understand where one wants to go include vision boards, research dockets for companies and individuals, and a range of guest visitor Q&As. Products created or refined during this course include self-bios, resumés, social media presence, and digital or pdf portfolios. Networking spaces are discussed, explored, and individual participation encouraged. Co-taught with Igor Bragado.
